Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return or notify us of a problem with your order. (If you got the thing for a gift, then went on your honeymoon for a month.... I mean good for you!!! And Congrats!.... and you didn't open your gifts until you got home and it's past the 30 day mark, or something similar thing happened, please contact us anyway - we'll work something out.)

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the order number or the email receipt we sent when it was purchased. You know, something that identifies when you bought it from us.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us right away if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Where possible, please email us a picture of any product or packaging damage at memoryalchemist@gmail.com - We are happy to make this right for you.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
If you have burned the candle all the way down to the bottom of the jar, we probably won't take that back. We also will not replace or do a return on items that you may have thrown at our neighbor's head or otherwise obviously mishandled.  If it's broken, we're happy to fix it but we may require photo proof that you didn't accidentally drop the thing off the side of the Grand Canyon.

Unfortunately, we don't want to accept returns on sale items or gift cards. But if something is wrong with it, we probably will. Please contact us.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. (We won't even be mad at you. We might talk bad about you a little, but we won't be mad about it.)


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
